Sometimes our day starts out, well to put it mildly not so good, but like mine yesterday sometimes it turns from gloom to bloom.
Out of the blue things began to change in my day. Over coffee my friend shared good news, not only good news but amazing news! She also shared answers to situations we'd been praying about for a long time, and God's intervention in one of her precious grandchildren's life. Then later in the day during a routine check to Vision Christian store to see how my Up Out Of Egypt book sales were progressing more good news hit me!! Since they started stocking my book after airing my testimony on Vision radio last year they'd sold 60 copies! I was delighted. Then more good news . . . Vision media's "The Word for Today" devotional for Feb March April '22, has on page 9 a 1/2 page advert for my book Up Out of Egypt!
Above it for Friday 11th February the devotion is entitled "What are you Called to do?" How appropriate.
I knew absolutely what purpose (among other things) God had for my life. He had spoken so clearly to me in 1999; it wasn't an audible voice but it couldn't have been any clearer than if it was. "Up out of Egypt, that is the title of the book you are to write"! My response! "Me, write a book." I must have heard wrong . . . but no I hadn't heard wrong and to this day many people have read my story and God has used it to bless them, bring them to faith, increase their faith or encourage them in some situation or another. I am so eternally grateful that He showed me what I was called to do.
What are you called for. What is your purpose in life. Do you have one? Or would you like one? Just ask the author and finisher of your life. He will show you and you too will be truly blessed.
